After graduation, I went to Penn State and graduated in 1957. I lived in Ridgway and worked for the extension service as a 4-H Club Agent. I was drafted (remember that nasty sound?) in 1958 and served 2 years at Ft. Detrick, MD in chemical warfare research. After that I worked for Hercules Powder Co. where my wife, Kaye, and I were married. She worked there too. I joined Agway in 1964 and held various positions in Corry, PA, Batavia, NY, Lyons, NY, and Chittenenango, NY. I moved to Preble, NY in 1975 and worked at the Agway Research Farm until 1992 when I retired. We have two boys and two granddaughters. Since 1987 we have traveled in our motorhome from coast to coast.
