Well, the history of my life for the past nearly 40 years in 25 words or less !!!

After graduation from SHS, I attended West Virginia Wesleyan College. In 1969, my daughter Jody Tenney was born and WVWC asked me to leave. During that summer, I took my first computer classes at MIT in Boston. I was accepted at York University in Toronto and graduated in 1971 with a BS in Mathematics and a minor in Computer Science. Although I had talked to the Navy about becoming a pilot, the Vietnam war and a high draft lottery number kept me out of the military.

After graduation, I moved to the Rochester, NY area and worked on new home construction for a couple of years. I eventually went to work for a concert sound company, working for artists such as Chuck Mangione, Dan Hill, Billy Joel and Judy Collins among others.

About 1979, I had the opportunity to acquire the cable television system that serves several communities in the Smethport area and I moved back to Smethport. I operated that system for about 5 years selling to a larger system operator in 1984.

In 1981, I married Mary Ceperko. Mary is a native of Pittsburgh and has worked in the Port Allegany school district for a number of years. She is currently the Elementary Librarian. Mary also operated the Spinning Wheel Gallery in Smethport for several years. The shop sold antiques and hand-made crafts. We like to travel and have been to a number of places including Alaska, Russia, and Slovakia (where Mary has distant relatives). It is very interesting to visit the communist and ex-communist countries and then return to the US. We enjoy college basketball and attend most of the St. Bonaventure home games. We have also been to several Atlantic 10 tournaments and NCAA first round games.

Jody (my daughter) was married about 5 years ago and now we get to visit my grandson Gavin occasionally. They still live in WV. Jody works for a bank in the Buckhannon area.

In 1985, I was hired by Bradford Regional Medical Center as a computer programmer. I was soon promoted to Director of the Information Systems department and recently was promoted to Chief Information Officer.

I have been active in many organizations over the years, working with among others, the Smethport Chamber of Commerce, Smethport MRC (pool), and I served on the Smethport Borough Council for 4 years. Most recently, I assisted the Smethport Sesquicentennial Committee by rebuilding the electronics that ring the chimes for the Court House clock. The chimes had been silent for 20 or 30 years.

I hold a commercial pilots license with instrument and multi-engine ratings and own a single engine 4 seat aircraft (Mooney 231). I obtained my SCUBA diving certification and dive regularly with other local divers. We have had the opportunity to dive in the Caribbean, Florida, Mexico and in the South Pacific where we dove on some WWII shipwrecks. I have done some searching on my ancestry and have posted what I have found so far on http://worldconnect.rootsweb.com in database N231ME.

A few years ago, I decided to go back to school. Taking night classes, I recently completed my MBA from St. Bonaventure, was honored for having the 2nd highest GPA in our graduating class and was inducted into Delta Mu Delta, a national honor society.

Mary and I live on North Street in Smethport with our Siberian Husky Miya. There are a couple of photos (kind of old) at http://palmer.home.westpa.net/

I can be reached by e-mail. My e-mail address can be constructed by typing tdp_121 and then the @ sign and then brmc.com so you get something that looks like tdp_###@brmc.com where the ### is replaced with the number 121. There is an underscore character between tdp and the number.
