After graduation, Dave spent 3 years in Washington, DC with Military Intelligence. He then was off to California, where he graduated in 1977 from Cal-State Fresno with a B.A. in Political Scienceand a minor in Journalism. He returned to Pennsylvania in 1981, and married a childhood friend (and fellow Clermonter) Sally Kinney. Dave co-authored the Smethport Sesquicentennial book and is active in the www.smethporthistory.org website.
He has been the Head Cook at Lakeview Senior Care for 19 years. His biggest achievement is ski-mountaineering 350 miles of the Pacific Crest Trail in 1978 -- oh but to be young again.
