After graduating from Smethport High, I attended college at the Pennsylvania State University, University Park campus with fellow alumni Sean Ness, Donna Nogar, and Mary Fetter. We were later joined by Tammy Bickford. Sean Ness and I joined Phi Delta Theta Fraternity. We were both heavily involved with the fraternity and student government. I graduated from Penn State in 1992 with a B.S. in Biology.

Following college, I traveled to the eastern part of the state where I attended the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine in Philadelphia. After four years in Philadelphia I graduated at the top of my class with a Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree.

I then moved back to the western end of Pennsylvania for the next six years. At the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center I completed a residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. During this training, I completed my medical training and graduated from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine with a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree in 2000. During the next year I completed a General Surgery internship and then completed my training as chief resident in June of 2002.

Following the completion of my residency, I joined Carolinas Oral and Facial Surgery Center in Wilmington, North Carolina. I replaced the founder of the practice and I work with my two partners currently.

Dana and I moved to Wilmington in June of 2002 and have been enjoying the weather in the South. Wilmington is located along the southern coast of North Carolina. It is about an hour north of Myrtle Beach. We enjoy the beach and boating. This summer we are planning a boat trip to Hilton Head.
