After graduation, I attended Penn State where I received a B.S. in Economics in 1997. I then went to Penn State - Dickinson School of Law where I graduated Cum Laude in 2000 with a Juris Doctor. In 2001, I received a Master of Laws in Taxation from the University of Florida. After school, I worked in New York City for over three years before moving back to Pennsylvania. I loved working in New York, but the cost of living in the New York metro area is very high. I currently live in South Fayette Twp., PA and work in Pittsburgh for Ernst and Young as a Senior Manager in the firm's Global Tax Analysis practice.
I married Debbie Shildt (Class of 1992) in May 1998. We have one son, Declan Patrick, who was born on July 11, 2006. I travel a lot for work, so I don't have too many hobbies other than spending time with my family.
