After high school, I attended Juniata College in Huntingdon, PA and completed my BS in Early Childhood/Elementary Education and Sociology. I began my masters in 1997 at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, PA in Psychology in Education and received certification in guidance counseling. I graduated in 1999.
Shortly after graduation, I began working for a Philadelphia-based lawyer, who specializes in disability law. We have been working for the Federal Court to improve conditions at an institution in Connecticut for people with mental retardation. I continue to work on this case as a consultant from my home in Nashville, TN.
I met my husband Steve McElroy during my sophomore year at Juniata College. We were married June 1997 and lived in Philadelphia, PA until June 2002 when we moved to Nashville, TN. On Valentine's Day 2003, we were blessed with the birth of our son, Evan James.
I am sorry to say that I will not be able to attend our 10th year reunion. I was looking forward to seeing many old friends. Please feel free to e-mail me and let me know what you are up to.
