After graduation I went to Jamestown Community College where I received my Associates Degree in Human Services. I worked at the McKean County Family Centers for about a year and a half. In 1998 I started working for Cattaraugus & Wyoming Counties Early Head Start, I’ve been there ever since. In August 2002 I went to New York City to get trained as a doula. I recently received my certification through Doulas North America. A doula is someone who helps a pregnant mother through labor and delivery. You can find out more about doulas at www.DONA.org.
In February of 2003 I met Chris Johnston, and we were married in August of 2004. We live in the Eldred area. Audrey is my only child. She’s 10 and in fifth grade. She keeps me busy with all of her activities which include dance, dance team, cheerleading, and band. For the last two years I have coached her cheerleading squad. She sure has grown up fast!
In my free time I enjoy scrap booking, four-wheeler riding, and playing with our dogs Maddie and Avery.
