After Smethport I attended Slippery Rock University where I majored in Athletic Training. For those of you who don't know exactly what an Athletic Trainer is, we deal with the prevention, acute care, and rehabilitation of athletes and athletic related injuries. Upon graduation I accepted a position at Southeast Missouri State University where I spent two years working with the men's basketball team and got my M.S. in Nutrition and Exercise Science.

When I finished my classwork I decided to leave SEMO and went to work as an Orthopedic Assistant for two Orthopedic Surgeons in the U.S. Virgin Islands. After spending only six months there, I returned to the states and accepted a position of Athletic Trainer at Kenyon College in Gambier, OH.

I was at Kenyon from December, 2002 to July, 2007. I worked with men's soccer, men's basketball, and softball, so as you can imagine I got to see a lot of college athletics and was kept quite busy.

In July, 2007 I finally left Kenyon to accept the Head Athletic Trainer position at Fredonia State University. I feel like the move was a long time coming and am happy to be well within 2 hours of Smethport.

I currently hold certifications as a Certified Athletic Trainer, Licensed Athletic Trainer, and National Academy of Sports Medicine - Performance Enhancement Specialist, as well as all the CPR and First Aid stuff.

With what little free time I get from work I spend a lot of time on two wheels. My babies are an '02 sv650 and a team issue road bicycle that almost cost as much as the motorcycle.
