Brian graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy in 1989. He married Joan Conkle (Class of 1985) on May 12, 1990. He then spent 5 years in the Navy and they lived in Charleston, SC.
They now live in Conover, NC and have 2 sons, Thomas-6 and John-9 months.
